How to Install Your Da Brim PRO Visor
The Da Brim PRO line fits most climbing and work-at-height helmets including Kask, Petzl, 3M, MSA and Edelrid. Follow these steps for a secure, safe fit.
Step-by-Step Installation
Begin with a Loose Adjustment Strap
Start with the adjustment strap fully loosened so the band is at its widest.
Hold the Helmet and Position the Band
Hold your helmet at the centre back with your thumb on the outside and grip the centre back loop of the Da Brim visor at the same place with your thumb.
Seat the Visor on the Helmet
Place your other hand at the front of the product and rotate the assembly upside down. Push the helmet against your chest and slowly pull the visor over the helmet, seating the visor edge on the helmet. The black underside of the product should end at the bottom edge of the helmet.
Flip Over and Tighten the Strap
Flip the assembly over and tighten the strap by positioning your thumb at the rear of the helmet and pulling on the strap. Tuck the strap into the hole provided.
Check for Correct Installation
Centres of the helmet and Da Brim helmet visor should align; if necessary, pull to straighten. Always ensure the strap is tight. The Da Brim visor should always seat below the front helmet surface, as shown, to prevent detachment. Check by pulling upward on the front visor as if in wind flow.
Fit Helmet and Test Your Vision
After the visor is installed on the helmet, follow the helmet manufacturer's instructions for fitting the helmet. Then check that the visor does not obstruct your vision.
How to Remove the Da Brim
Always remove the Da Brim when stationary and in a safe location.
Wait until you are at a safe location and at a rest position.
Disengage the visor by releasing the tension on the strap. Pull up on the buckle.
Pull up on the visor and remove it from the helmet.
